Empowering Patients And Caregivers With The New MedTrakker A Medical Organizer

Winchester, VA.//February. 16, 2011/ Amber Bowden has set out on a dream of empowering patients and their caregivers with her specialized medical organizer called the MedTrakker. This new medical organizer offers specialized versions of the MedTrakker like the Universal, Diabetes, Cardiac, and Cancer Trakkers. The MedTrakker can allow the patient or the caregiver to be proactive in the own healthcare treatment.

The founder Amber Bowden stated, “I believe that medical organizers are not a one size fits all and they should never be construed as such.” She also admits that her own personal role, as a caregiver for her mother and her husband helped her in creating these unique products. Her main goal in creating the MedTrakker was to eliminate the hassles of keeping up with vital paperwork and allow the patient or caregiver time to focus on their family, as well as their treatment.

Become a Volunteer

Volunteering can be so rewarding, when you meet people who change your life and your heart. You could meet a child or an adult, who turns your world upside down with just one smile. Sometimes, just a helping hand or a shoulder to lean on can make a difference in his or her life. So find something you enjoy doing and become a volunteer who truly makes a difference. You could volunteer as a Big Brother or Big Sister, a Mentor, or you may sponsor a child in another country.

No matter what you choose to do, just remember that you will be touching the lives of others around you. In addition, the person you help will touch your heart in return and end up becoming someone you care about. You will be proud of yourself, whenever you decide to volunteer because of the accomplishments you have matter how big or small. So don't hesitate and become a volunteer with an organization you want to help and lets all work together to make a positive change in our own world.

Keeping a Pain Diary

As a cancer survivor and patient who lives with pain daily, I have created a PAIN DIARY which you can use daily to describe your pain to your doctor. This diary will help you and your doctor find the right pain management regimen for you. Everyone is different, so keeping a pain diary will help the doctor see what helps you and what doesn’t help you, when it comes to the medicine they prescribe to you.

The pain diary can be printed and copied to place into your medical records, so your doctor can read it and understand what is happening to you on a daily or weekly basis. Therefore, they can adjust your doses accordingly, in order to find the right medicine for you.
